Research Awards & Grants

POSNA, with the help of foundation partners, supports member research by providing grants and awards each year to leading researchers in the field of pediatric orthopaedics. These grants and awards are available to help offset the cost of educational or research endeavors in pediatric orthopaedics and are open to broad areas of research. Each grant and award uses the same application and procedures; however, the eligibility requirements and submission criteria vary for each grant and award. Click on each grant below for details and grant specific application forms.

Please note: According to POSNA's policy, any current grant or award recipient cannot apply for a future grant as a PI or Co-PI until the current award/grant research is completed and all final reports and expense reports have been submitted and accepted.

2022 Research Grants

POSNA announces the opening of the cycle for grants to be awarded in 2022. In order to broaden the field of applicants and be respectful of investigators’ time and efforts, POSNA is using a “Letter of Intent” (LOI) format. Promising projects will be selected for submission of a full application. Research grants and QSVI grants will be submitted through the same mechanism, although the LOI only applies to Research Grants.

A LOI will be required in order to be eligible to later submit a full grant application. Only those LOIs accepted will be requested to submit a full grant application.

Additionally, LOIs, grant applications and reviews will be submitted through ProposalCENTRAL.

Important Deadlines
September 20 Deadline for submission of LOI (not required for QSVI grants)
November 1 Announcement to accepted LOI's to submit full Research Grant applications
December 13 Deadline for submission of full grant application
