AAOS Resident Advocacy Fellowship Program

Applications for the new AAOS Resident Advocacy Fellowship program are due November 15.  For more information on the program, click here.
 
An application package must include the following documents:
  • A statement of commitment to the applicant’s participation in the program and a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s program Chair/Director containing an evaluation of the applicant’s qualifications, and an endorsement of the applicant’s participation in this program.
  • Cover letter that includes complete contact information through the application period
  • Current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Brief essays on the following topics: 
    • The reasons why you want to be an AAOS Advocacy Fellows and how you will use this Fellowship.  Include a discussion of your major strengths and qualifications for the program (250-300 words)
    • Explain what you believe are the most difficult challenges facing the healthcare delivery system today and what policymakers should explore and why (250-300 words)
  • A letter of recommendation from an additional faculty member
