Happy Spring from the Resident Review Committee! We are excited about this month’s posts and hope that you will find them both thought-provoking and educational. 

This month, you will find an article by Dr. Richard McCarthy about ethics in orthopaedics. He presents a challenging case, and readers will likely find themselves struggling with the dilemma of what is truly right for patients and society. Dr. Kevin Neal’s interview with Dr. John Lovejoy III provides an example of how quality improvement projects can enhance the value of medical care. Additionally, Dr. Hosseinzadeh’s interview of Dr. Matthew Dobbs demonstrates how treatments continue to change as doctors try to achieve the best outcomes with the least invasive means. This time Dr. Dobbs explains his minimally invasive treatment of congenital vertical talus.  First, you’ll find a series of questions all relating to foot and ankle problems. Take the opportunity to test your knowledge as you prepare for your in-training exam.
