Additional Information: Our current pediatric practice, with a  longstanding history in Maine, currently includes 2 full-time providers that practice general pediatric orthopedics in addition to our support staff which includes 3 full-time ortho techs, 2 dedicated medical assistants and 2 pediatric schedulers. 

We take great pride in the care of our patients with a multitude of conditions including slipped capital femoral epiphysis, pediatric fracture care, benign bone tumors, lower extremity deformity, clubfeet, early-onset scoliosis, neuromuscular scoliosis, adolescent scoliosis, hip dysplasia, congenital deformity and more. Our practice is 1 of 2 facilities in the state that provides advanced subspecialty specific pediatric care north of Boston. 

A typical schedule includes 2-3 clinic days with availability for 2 OR days per week. You are only responsible for pediatric orthopedic call. We have intraoperative 3D navigation adjuncts such as Ziehm and Arcadis, in addition to our established surgical spinal deformity program. 
Pediatric sub-specialty support includes surgery, pediatric anesthesiology, neonatology, gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology, genetics, ophthalmology, developmental pediatrics and child life services. Pediatric hospitalist and intensivist services are available 24/7. Additional support staff within orthopedics includes sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, and orthopedic oncology. 

Qualifications
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric patient care
• Desire to become part of a multidisciplinary pediatric care team
