Training Requirements: | Suitable candidates will have an MD or MD-PhD degree and be board-certified or board-eligible in orthopedic surgery with subspecialty training or certification in hand surgery, or equivalent. Candidates must be eligible for licensure without restriction within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All candidates must have evidence of advanced training in pediatric orthopedics (completion of an accredited pediatric orthopedics fellowship) or be willing to obtain advanced training. |

The Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department at Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an academic pediatric hand surgeon to join our robust Hand and Upper Extremity Program. Details Areas of particular interest include management of children with genetic/syndromic conditions affecting the upper limb and the care of children with upper extremity fractures and acquired deformities. A dedication to research and willingness to devote significant time to research effortsis preferred. The applicant will be expected to be active clinically and to supervise medical students, orthopedic surgery residents, and orthopedic hand fellows. They will be expected to perform general pediatric orthopedic procedures as well as develop a subspecialty practice focused on care of the pediatric upper limb. Appointment as an instructor, assistant professor, or associate professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements, in addition to teaching activities.
