Additional Information: The Department of Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, at The Hospital for Sick Children is inviting applications for a 1.00 full time equivalent academic Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty interest in in lower extremity reconstruction. The effective date of this appointment is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include clinical, scholarly, and administrative duties, as required. The clinical component of the position will include a substantial commitment to the care of children with lower extremity deformities. An appropriate candidate may choose to focus on a particular child population, including but not limited to children with arthrogryposis, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, or similar conditions requiring complex orthopaedic care in children with concomitant diagnoses. Demonstration of breadth, depth, and innovation in clinical and operative practice will be a significant asset. Other clinical duties include participation in the emergency Orthopaedic call schedule at SickKids. The candidate should have a strong academic background and is expected to complement the division’s scholarly productivity. A scholarly focus on research, education, or global health is welcomed.

The successful candidate should be a recently qualified fellowship trained surgeon. The candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Candidates must obtain an appropriate Visa.
