POSNA President Jeffrey R. Sawyer, MD, welcomes you to Nashville, TN, for the 2023 POSNA Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting is the premier event for pediatric orthopaedic research and education presented in a uniquely collegial and social atmosphere. We hope you will plan to join us for what will be a fantastic event.

Highlights include:
  • A condensed meeting with sessions spanning from Wednesday to Friday, allowing attendees to optimize their time in Nashville while having the flexibility to return home prior to the weekend without missing any content.
  • Subspecialty Day event divided into eight sessions covering advanced topics in Spine, Hip, Sports, Upper Extremity, Foot, Trauma, Neuromuscular, and Lower Extremity.
  • Presentation of 170+ podium presentations and 80 ePosters. 
  • “Lead Like Lori” Lecture in honor of past POSNA president and pediatric trailblazer Lori Karol, MD. The inaugural speaker will be Commander, NORAD and Commander, US Northern Command (May 2016-May 2018), Commander, Pacific Air Forces (Oct 2014-May 2016) Lori Robinson.
  • Friday morning will feature the awards presentations, followed by the distinguished achievement award, meeting awards, presidential guest speaker, and presidential transfer. The afternoon will include concurrent sessions covering spine and sports topics.
  • An Exhibit Hall featuring the latest in pediatric orthopaedic products and services from 30 companies. 
  • Opening night event at the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum, a premiere Nashville attraction. Enjoy a live band, line dancing instruction, transportation, and interactive museum.
Physicians (ACCME) Credit Designation
This activity has a maximum of 26.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

When is the registration deadline?
Online registration closes Monday, April 24, 2023. After this date, you will be required to register on-site (additional fees will apply). 

Do I have to register if I am a presenter and/or speaker? 
Yes, you will be required to register in order to obtain CME credits.  

Do I need to select the sessions I want to attend in advance?
Yes, it is important you select all the sessions you plan to attend during the registration process.  

What is the cancellation policy?
Full refunds will be provided less a processing fee if received via email to Erica Respeto at respeto@posna.org by the date listed below. No refunds will be granted if emailed cancellation/refund request is not received by April 17, 2023. Registrants will receive a confirmation and refund within 14 days of receipt of their cancellation notice. 

  • February 1–April 3, 2023 – less a 20% processing fee 
  • April 4–April 17, 2023 – less a 50% processing fee 
  • April 18, 2023 – No refunds 

Can I pay by check?
Yes, email Erica Respeto at respeto@posna.org for a registration form. 

Can I pay for multiple attendees on one company check?
Yes, however, you must include the attendees’ names or POSNA ID numbers on the check. 

I cannot log in to my account to register. What do I do?
Your email address is your username. Click “forgot password” to receive an email on how to reset it and log in. If you still cannot log in, please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. *Be sure to use Chrome as your internet browser. 

I am a presenter and unsure if I will be able to travel to the meeting. What should I do?

I am unable to travel to the meeting. Will there be a virtual meeting option?
No, there are no virtual streaming options offered for this meeting. 

How do I book my hotel room and where?
There are two hotels to choose from for your stay in Nashville, all within walking distance to the Music City Convention Center. The headquarters hotel is the Omni Nashville.

  • Omni Nashville (located across the street from the Music City Center) - Omni Hotel 
  • Hyatt Nashville Downtown (located 0.2 mi from Music City Center) - Hyatt Hotel

What are the CME hours for the Meeting?
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Amedco, LLC and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. Amedco, LLC is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
