Additional Information: Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 309-bed freestanding children's hospital and Level I trauma center, and Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, have an exceptional opportunity for a BC/BE pediatric orthopedic surgeon, with clinical interests in pediatric limb deformity.
Applicants with experience and/or exposure to pediatric limb deformity are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a unique opportunity to provide care to a diverse patient population with extensive pathology from the U.S., as well as Central and South America and the Caribbean. The candidate will be part of Nicklaus Children’s renowned Orthopedic Surgery Program, comprised of 10 orthopedic surgeons, five PAs, three APRNs and four RNs, with programs and services including congenital deformity, trauma, foot and ankle, sports medicine, scoliosis and spinal deformity, neuromuscular disorders, hip disorders and brachial plexus and peripheral nerve.
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Orthopedic Surgery Program is nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best pediatric orthopedic programs available. Our pediatric orthopedics department was one of six initial sectors established during our founding in 1950. In fact, it was an orthopedic surgeon who was responsible for the hospital’s creation. Today, our team consists of highly trained orthopedic technicians, physician assistants, nurse coordinators, support personnel, residents, and fellows. Our physicians perform over 1,400 surgical procedures each year while the pediatric orthopedic surgery department facilitates an additional 34,000 outpatient visits annually, including the management of more than 6,000 fracture cases and is world-renowned for its spinal surgery program.
