Leonard Seimon, MD

The Board of Trustees, Management Team, Medical Staff and employees mourn the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Dr. Leonard (Lenny) Seimon. Dr. Seimon was a giant in the field of pediatric orthopedics. Lenny was on Blythedale's medical staff for 31 years and retired at the end of 2014. He was our Chief of Orthopedics for many years and served for three terms as the President of the Medical Staff. Lenny was beloved by his patients and families for his calm and reassuring manner. He treated thousands of patients at Blythedale with expert and compassionate care. He taught a generation of orthopedics residents not only the fine art of surgery but the importance of a history and physical exam and listening to parents. Lenny trained hundreds of orthopedic surgeons and he was adored by them. And, the clinical and management team respected Dr. Seimon for his leadership, clinical skills, and mild manner. He was a wonderful physician, mentor, and humanitarian. We will miss his sense of humor and his friendship. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Sandra and his entire family.
